Swimming

World-class swim programmes developed by our new Head of Swimming, Ivan Bunakov.

For our primary and secondary students, swimming is integrated into the timetable, with additional options after school and at the competitive swimming level. Students benefit from a supportive swim community with peer mentoring and support, helping our elite swimmers achieve their dreams and more.

Competitive swimmers participate in a gold-standard training programme with individual, personalised coaching from swimming experts. Swimmers compete both nationally in Singapore and in international tournaments. GESS is a full member of the ACSIS Singapore Swimming League.

Competitive Swim Programme Information

The GESS competitive swim teams are affiliated members of the Singapore Swimming Association and ACSIS (Athletic Conference Singapore International Schools). The programme includes up to 24 hours a week of swimming, static-dynamic dry land training as well as a unique strength and conditioning programme expertly tailored for swimmers. As part of our holistic approach to sports, a personalised nutrition plan is provided for each swimmer. Access to physiotherapists and physiologists is also provided. Swim team members can partake in swim holiday camps which are supported by international athletes.

The GESS competitive swimming programme is aligned with internationally recognised pathways, enabling swimmers to compete at national and international levels. This allows swimmers to continue swimming at the NCAA level and receive sports scholarships in the US and Europe.
